in addition to mounting some headers to the wall what other car parts would make good decoration? That’s the intake manifold off a 5.3L Vortec, which would probably be easy to find in a junkyard.
I thought mounting a wheel on the wall may look nice, that’s a Porsche 928 wheel incase you couldn’t tell.
What about a engine block table? That’s a Jaguar V12 out of a XJS apparently.
What about putting a set of pistons on the wall? Like that? (below)

You could get a turbo. And put it on a shelf. That would be pretty easy. I like the idea of using a cheap V12 for a table too.
You’ve just got to make sure you’re on the right side of the junk/art line. If it’s still got engine oil on it, you’ve failed.
Maybe these things are more appropriate for decorating a garage/shed.
If you scroll down

you’ll see the thingy I made for my first Z. Tried to post the image here, got Kinja’d.
It counts!

While cool, we could do better than a C6 Corvette.

I just picked a random one off Google.
I think something from the late 70s-early 90s would do well since boxy.

we have a SBC coffee table. Have seen transmission end tables and camshaft lamps as well.

Make a transmission sink.

That’s a good idea

Except for stripping down a transmission and somehow plugging all the holes.

I have a jeep CJ grill to put up, also a wheel like mentioned, but it was curbed hard & bent, so when I hang it, it’ll be below an outlet so I can wrap an extension cord on it.

I was looking at one of these last night and I was thinking, if you chopped the back of it off, and put a clock in the middle, it’d be pretty damn cool. The numbers of a clock don’t ply well with the 19 paired spoke design though.
But you could just cut the back off too.

That part of an automatic transmission that’s a bunch of tiny, intertwined channels that look like a maze. Forgot what it is exactly.

What size picture frame did you use?

I’ve made somethings: BMW S62 cam lamp and the Benz chair

I believe it’s referred to as the valve body.

Here’s an Offenhauser tunnel ram for an Oldsmobile big block I want to use on a build some day, but for now relegate to art in my room.

There is a very thin line between cool and trashy with this stuff.

Yeah, you gotta keep stuff like this clean

And well detailed, otherwise it’s just junk.

Funny you should mention this. I have a set of 14" alloy Mercedes Benz wheels in fair shape I can’t seem to get of on CL.
I was wondering to myself earlier today if I could turn them into some sort of man-cave decoration if I can’t sell the darned things.
How could I incorporate them into a beer themed display of manliness my wife would hate? Hmmm...

Transmission gear-going to be a clock.
Brake caliper-Going to polish this up and probably make it a hanger for my messenger bag.
Camshaft and gear-going going to be a lamp.
Valve Cover- fluorescent bulb style LED desk lamp. Try and turn the oil cap into a switch.
Valve cover-probably going to be a key holder.
Subaru EJ18- table

they make a nice coffee/end table when on top of heads, with carbs/ velocity stacks

Not sure, just bought one that was big enough for the length of the keys

Sure, once it’s polished.
